‘Do I dare…..Disturb the Universe?’ asked T S Eliot in his much celebrated poem ‘The love song of J Alfred Prufrock’.

Centre Right India, an initiative started in 2010, began by asking similar question. Do we dare disturb the universe and can we challenge the status quo? As we celebrate our third anniversary, it gives us immense satisfaction to know that we have successfully done both. We have ruffled feathers; we have asked tough questions, we have given credible solutions. We have been politically incorrect, we have been defiant and we have refused to swim with the tide. In just three years, CRI has been able to offer a credible platform to Right-of-Centre thinkers to voice their opinion and challenge the narrative pushed by mainstream media dominated by left liberals.

We are Right, unapologetic Right, but we are not a monolith. This year saw our commentators sparring on many topics. Idea of India, Foreign policy, Domestic issues, Economic affairs and Current affairs, CRI was always able to present an alternate viewpoint and think out of the box. We expanded our commentator base and were proud to host some fascinating new talent emerging on the Right horizon. Long forms, critiques, book reviews, satires, interviews, podcasts- We did it all and managed to get our presence noticed. At CRI, disagreements and debates are all in a day’s work. We debate everything, question everything, and present spirited defense of our views. CRI is not just a digital platform to express our opinion unapologetically; it is also a movement. A movement to get rid of the rot that characterizes our polity and political correctness that ails our traditional media.

Politics consumes us all and that is amply evident from the prolificacy of our commentators. I am not sure if it is cow’s milk, commonly rumored to be a reason for Right wing activism that is driving them or pure passion that makes them come up with such brilliant commentary day after day, month after month and year after year.

For our third anniversary however, we decided to challenge our bloggers to go into a fairly uncharted territory for them so far. Food is something that interests everyone. Most of us like to cook and all of us like to eat, so we challenged our bloggers to write about their favorite Indian cuisine. We toyed with several ideas – Music of India, Dances of India, Languages of India etc but Food of India trumped them all. So we are happy to present to you these food blogs by our very talented bloggers who have really gone out of their comfort zone to write them. None of us claim to be culinary experts. This is just an attempt to go back to our roots, discover our traditional cuisines and bring to them to you in fun way.

Franz Kafka famously said “As long as you have food in your mouth, you have solved all questions for the time being”. CRI is proud to bring you its third anniversary culinary festival. Enjoy the feast…
